Set up
purlwise 1st st; knit wise last st
Stockinette
- Knitwise 1st and drop;
- Purlwise 2nd, but leave a loop by pulling the yarn in half
- Insert the needle into the loop from front to back
- Repeat 1-3 til the end
Tips: Step 1-2 can be done together by insert needles into 2 at the same time; the two sts will form a little V
1x1 rib
Knit and purl: knitwise them both
- Knitwise the 1st knit st and drop
- Knitwise the 2nd purl st, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from back to front
Purl and knit: purlwise them both
- Purlwsie the worked purl st
- Purlwise the next knit st, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from front to back
Repeat step 1-6
2x2 rib
2 knits (same as stockinette): knitwise and purlwise
- Knitwise 1st and drop;
- Purlwise 2nd, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from front to back
Knit and purl: knitwise them both:
- Knitwise the 1st knit st and drop
- Knitwise the 2nd purl st, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from back to front
Purl and purl: purlwise and knitwise
- Purlwise 1st and drop;
- Knitwise 2nd, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from back to front
Purl and knit: purlwise them both
- Purlwsie the worked purl st
- Purlwise the next knit st, but leave a loop
- Insert the needle from front to back
